
The contractor advises that our flooring arrives on Friday, and work resumes on Monday. We find ourselves within a couple of weeks of project completion. This feels like getting the hope to fly very soon, after weeks of waddling along on the concrete.
We saw a Mississippi kite in the parking lot after dinner tonight. Like all cool kites, it flew high in mid-air, catching insects. Then we saw a sharp-shinned hawk on our neighbor's back fence. Now I sit on our patio and watch an incoming set of storms promise but not yet deliver rain.
I get amused at how certain type of work problems that completely bore most people put me in my most productive frame of mind.
