painted bunting and yellow flowers

I got a lot of practical things done today. I picked up prescriptions for our dog,
made an appointment to get some hail damage on my car examined, donated two fish tanks to my nephew, donated lots of old cane fishing poles to Lake Ray Roberts, and picked up more Bullfrog, the combination insect repellant/sun screen I use.

I got most of my exercise at the state park. The prickly pear in bloom delighted me. A sighting of a singing painted bunting caught my attention. I enjoyed seeing the dickcissel in an open lake-adjacent field. A scissor-tailed flycatcher appeared to pose for me as I drove out of the park.

We ate grilled fish at Rockfish Grill this evening. The waitperson, Anna, served us previously. She brings a good attitude to her job.
