gorji

I looked out the window on Christmas afternoon. In the tall, bare tree across the street, a flock of cedar waxwings stood in residence.

Christmas night we went at 5 p.m. to a small but stylish Mediterranean cafe in Addison called Canary by Gorji. We dined on a fine three course meal. The turkey was done as a grilled item, in a steak-like form, for which we were provided with pomegranate sauce. Everything was light, easy and pleasant. The staff was polite and attentive, and the owner shook our hand goodbye. It was a perfect ending to a quiet, happy day.

I like working on the day after Christmas. It's quiet and productive.
