I woke up early this morning and went with my father and his wife to First United Methodist Church of Camden for an early praise service. About 18 people turned up for this service
held in a church fellowship hall. The hall is complete with basketball goals. I saw my high school 11th grade English teacher, a nice woman who is now a yoga teacher. I wonder if yoga has the equivalent of a five paragraph essay. The sermon was good, based on the text about the healing of the 10 lepers. The pastor wore a bow tie.

After church I changed back to casual clothes, said goodbye to my father and his wife, and hit the road. I had a great visit at home. First I drove to Gurdon again, and walked at the Gurdon Lake. I did not get good pictures of the raptor nor of the eastern phoebe nor of the water lilies. But I was able to take photos of the buckeye butterfly. While in town, I took photos of my dad's old clinic, still standing 38 years after we left.

On my way home, I drove by Lake Lavon. The lake was very low. A flock of white pelicans floated on it, fishing happily in the shallows.
