near lake lavon

Starting from the Brockdale trailhead, I wandered toward the lake across the tall grass.
Monarchs fluttered among purple brightstar flowers and golden helicanthus.Eastern phoebe birds
flitted from little tree to little tree. In the distance I saw a great blue heron standing on a dead tree.
