Beatrice the political dog

On my way out the door this morning, I offered a moment's reassurance to our small dog. I told her not to worry--that things would be all right even though the government shut down.
She seemed comforted. She went back to sleep. I wrote my Congressman an e-mail advocating a functioning government,and headed off to work.
