on white flowers

Monarchs migrate through slowly, stopping to drink from flowers, heading from the north down to Mexico. I saw a set of them flying among white wetland flowers.

I watched a kestrel eat a newly-caught dragonfly. An eastern phoebe stood on a bare branch and looked out at the world. Kids trained for soccer in the Murphy City Park, while mourning doves stood on high-altitude tension wires.
