Mexico bound butterfly

After work I stopped by Lake Lavon. The water was wonderfully wavy. I hoped to glimpse a migrating white pelican. I saw instead a migrating monarch, drifting slowly from plant to plant. I looked up on my smart phone to verify it was a monarch rather than a viceroy. The monarch lacks the lower wing bar.
