Princeton High

Last night a thunderstorm rolled in. Because we just hit Stage 3 drought level, and because zebra mussels invaded the water supply, rain is very welcome. I went to Breckinridge Park at lunch, where the rain began to fall as I drove through the park. This is great weather for taking pictures of birds

I saw an eastern kingbird and a western kingbird and got decent photos of them. The American kestrel flew away before I could snap its photo.

I talked to my dad today, who had had a bit of a health thing yesterday. I was glad to speak with him.

Tonight after work I drove to the Allen Events Center. I watched my young friend graduate from Princeton High School. Thousands of people showed up to see ~ 100 kids graduate. It went quite well, from the first strains of "Pomp and Circumstance" to the closing invocation. My friend was on the first row of his section. I took some nice photos.
