donne and gone

Today clouds and warm weather dominated. I enjoyed being back at work. I left fairly early, though, as I felt a bit tired. I am part-way through the animated movie ParaNorman which I rented on my tablet computer. I've been failing to succeed at installing VMWare player on my Fedora system. I listened to the CD of the book of poems selected by Caroline Kennedy on my way to work. Though I heard many good poems read, my favorites were the Edna St. Vincent Millay poems. Those who feel that the current age is the age which discovered descriptive passages of public poetry about physical intimacy, if anyone could do so at this late date, have not read Donne's Elegy 20: "To His Mistress Going to Bed". I downloaded a 19th Century book about cycling for a friend doing a graphic novel. I reviewed a graphic about my chess games. I tend to beat people with lower ratings than I have, and lose to people with higher ratings. This is as expected, but it's not an indicator of imminent rapid improvement.
