ghosts, cold, and bluebirds

This morning we woke to record low temperatures, in the high 30s. After work, I walked in the park, in temperatures in the high sixties. I saw bluebirds in Breckinridge Park. My wife and I went for dinner at Whichwhich sandwiches. I got my usual turkey sandwich with lettuce, sauerkraut, and pickles on a wheat bun, baked potato chips and a diet soft drink. Then my wife and walked the dog near the pond. Half-way around, my wife headed back home, as she is going to McKinney to see a play a co-worker of hers is directing. Her effort to pull away, though,
was thwarted because she did not have the house key. She came back and finished the walk with Bea and I.Then she drove off to the play.

During my walk with Bea, I saw two western kingbirds in Glendover Park. Now it really feels like Spring. We saw a bunny who stood still in the grass.

I won the on-line postal chess game last night. Now I am 1 win, 1 draw, 2 losses in this tournament. I have two games to go. One is rapidly slipping into a loss, and one is very close. It's been a fun tournament.

I am watching the public domain film "Beyond Tomorrow" on my computer's VLC media player. This film is available for free at Archive.org. It's an old classic, with cool ghosts.
