I drove my young friend to Cooper, a northeast Texas town of 2,000 folks. We went to the town square where a huge vintage car show held our interest. We walked past Camaros, Mustangs, Corvettes and various older cars turned into hot rods.

This was the best small-town auto show I have ever seen.
We also looked at the Delta County Fair for a moment, but it was geared to childrens' games rather than things that interested us. We drove instead to the lake access and then to the Doctor's section of Cooper Lake State Park. This park is in a wooded area. The lake, though low, has a lovely shoreline. we enjoyed walking near the lake. During our drive we saw bluebonnets and a few Indian paintbrush flowers.
We drove to a Hastings in Greenville and then had lunch at Applebee's. Then we got on the computers at Escape Coffee Shop in Allen.
This evening my wife and I met our friends Scott and Donna for dinner at Gordon Biersch. Then we watched the movie "The Sapphires", a great feel-good movie.
