free trout and gingerbread

The real cold came this morning. We fell a goodish few degrees below freezing. But it was the good kind of freezing day--with almost no wind. I dressed in endless layers of clothes and did very well indeed.

At lunch I walked in Breckinridge Park. Eastern Bluebirds and Cedar Waxwings enjoyed the bright sun in the cool late Autumn air. I had forgotten to put my SD card in my camera, but I did get one snap of a bluebird.

The new phone did fine. Samsung phones do things a little differently than Motorola phones, but I had had Samsung before. So it's not a big adjustment. Tonight the little glass screen protector I ordered arrived. I put it on in good shape though one tiny air bubble has been resistant.
Now if the little case I ordered on eBay will arrive, I will be in good shape. I got the apps I care about on, for the most part, with one or two possible exceptions that I will remedy.

Tonight we went to Rockfish Grill. I was glad to see it was busy but not too busy.  I had the trout. The new wrinkle at Weight Watchers, called "Freestyle", incentivizes eating grilled fish.  Fish is now "free", i.e., it consumes none of the rationed "points" the program assigns to food.

When we got home, I ate a gingerbread man. I also heated up a half-mug of a little Weight Watchers mug cake deal. This cake was surprisingly good.  I felt well-desserted.

This evening I designed our 2017 holiday card. I like doing that.

Now I am watching "The Lady in the Lake".

Tomorrow is supposed to be warmer, but not the good kind of warmer. It's supposed to be the windy kind of warmer.
